About the Exhibition
Harvey Preston Gallery is pleased to present Call Me Maker, an exhibition featuring new work from Brad Reed Nelson. Elevating and re-using materials lost to many through our modern disposable culture, Call Me Maker re-imagines these materials in thought provoking sculptures. In addition, a retrospective of early works will also be on display, including Nelson’s evocative furniture and playful lighting.
“The new pieces are a study of the container used in the safe keeping of our goods in transit, be they precious or mundane. Pallets, boxes, straps, bright plastic, wood and steel. After our short, tactile interaction with the external vessels, they are disposed of as garbage,” says artist Brad Reed Nelson.
